Our partnership with Feedback

This summer we have partnered with Feedback, who are also known as the gleaning network. A group who are part of the EU Fusions (Food Use for Social Innovation by Optimising Waste Prevention Strategies). This is project focuses on working towards a more resourceful, efficient Europe by significantly reducing food waste.
Locally, a group of volunteers will go to farms and pick from fields that growers may have had to walk away from due to lack of labour, or, like us, where the it is the end of the crop.
So far this summer we have had two groups come to the farm at Colworth, who have gone away with many trays of berries, which they are then able to donate to local food banks and charities and groups of people in need, their ethos in essence wanting to help whoever they can by reducing waste and making use of food which could otherwise be wasted.
We are looking forward to continuing to support Feedback however we can in the coming months. To find out more about them, please take a look at their website https://feedbackglobal.org/about-us/
